CHOCOLATE BLOCK WITH NUTS, PUFFED RICE AND CARAMEL

Let’s begin another weekend with some vegan and healthy dessert – chocolate block with nuts, puffed rice and caramel. Sweet combination of plant based ingredients – chocolate, puffed rice (our childhood memory), nuts and dates caramel. Delicious, full of chocolate and perfect for anybody who loves sweets.

Ingredients (rectangular baking pan: 10×25 cm):

½ cup dates

1/4 cup hot water

2 tbsp vegan protein powder (caramel) – optional

2 tbsp peanut butter

1 tbsp tahini

1/3 cup almond flakes

1/2 cup cashew nuts*

1/2 cup puffed rice

200 g dark chocolate

1 tsp coconut oil

Instructions:

Melt the chocolate using the hot water bath. Combine it with coconut oil and tahini. Blend dates with hot water. Add peanut butter, caramel protein powder and mix all the ingredients. Chop the nuts and almond flakes. Combine the nuts, almond flakes and puffed rice with melted chocolate. Cover the baking pan with baking sheet. Pour half of the chocolate-nuts mixture into the baking pan. Put the dates caramel on top of it. Then pour the rest of the chocolate mixture on the caramel layer. Leave in the fridge for a few hours to cool. Then cut the block into smaller parts. Enjoy!

*you can also use other nuts
